Christmas in Vilnius
Each winter a large Christmas tree goes up on Cathedral Square, and the Old Town fills with festive lights and seasonal stalls. Around the city, galleries, community spaces and venues hold their own Christmas fairs with handmade gifts, food and drink.
Christmas Eve (Kūčios, 24 December) is the main family evening in Lithuania, and 24, 25 and 26 December are public holidays.
