Company Christmas party in Vilnius 2026: dates, costs and 15 ideas
Bonder · Published
A company Christmas party in Vilnius in December 2026 has three Fridays before Christmas (4, 11 and 18 December), plus Wednesday 23 December, the last working day before Christmas Eve. Event organizers writing in 2026 advise booking popular December Friday and Saturday evenings in September or October, so by late October, book without delay. Published prices are scarce. In 2021 an event organizer put a 100-guest company party at about 25,000 EUR (about 250 EUR a head). In September 2026 a staff community event of about 200 people at Lithuania’s Ministry of Defence (KAM), not a Christmas party, cost 47,559 EUR with well-known performers (about 238 EUR a head). On 20 October room hire in Vilnius cafés and restaurants was listed at 20 to 100 EUR an hour.
About the numbers: the per-head figures are our own division of a published total by the published headcount. On 20 October no Vilnius venue or listing site we checked published a per-person price for a 2026 Christmas party, so an exact price only comes with a quote.
When should you book a company Christmas party in 2026?
Pramogų kompasas, a Lithuanian events and entertainment company, recommends starting to plan a Christmas event in September or October, because December Fridays and Saturdays are snapped up first. Fotoveidrodelis.lt gave the same advice on 26 August 2026. On 20 October 2026 Vilma Balčiūnienė, head of Agency UP, told Atvira Klaipėda that companies start reserving the most popular venues and performers for Christmas as early as spring (she was talking about events on the coast). According to LRT, in 2021 organizers’ calendars filled up well before December.
December 2026 dates for a work party
- Fridays: 4, 11 and 18 December. Friday 25 December is Christmas Day.
- Saturdays: 5, 12 and 19 December, for a party with partners or families.
- Thursdays: 10 and 17 December, a fallback when the Fridays are taken.
- Wednesday 23 December: the last working day before Kūčios. Under article 112(5) of the Labour Code the working day before a public holiday is one hour shorter, so it suits an early party in the office.
- Thursday 24 to Saturday 26 December: Kūčios (Lithuanian Christmas Eve) and the two days of Christmas, all public holidays under article 123 of the Labour Code. With Sunday 27 December that makes four days off in a row.
If the Friday or Saturday you want is taken, ask about a Thursday (10 or 17 December) or a daytime party on 23 December.
Where can you hold a company Christmas party in Vilnius?
Before choosing a venue for a work Christmas event in Vilnius, set the group size and budget. Pramogų kompasas runs such events in restaurants, lofts, country houses (sodybos) and the client’s own office, for groups from 15 to 20 people up to several hundred. Fotoveidrodelis.lt calls the office the cheapest and cosiest option for a small team and a restaurant the most convenient for 20 to 60 people. A sodyba is best for activities and an overnight stay, though it needs a bigger budget.
| Format | Group size | Cost level | Best for | Ask before booking |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Your own office | A small team | Cheapest: no room hire | A relaxed evening with catering, a quiz or a workshop | How late the building is open, who cleans up, whether neighbours will mind the noise |
| Restaurant or café with a private room | Most convenient for 20 to 60; Grasalė up to 90, Medžiotojų restoranas up to 100 | Between office and sodyba; room hire 20 to 100 EUR an hour, Medžiotojų restoranas by agreement | Dinner with a programme, speeches and dancing | Minimum spend, deposit, cancellation terms, closing time |
| Loft or event space | Depends on the space; confirm capacity with the venue | Event space hire on paslaugos.lt: 10 to 50 EUR an hour | A themed night with your own decor, a DJ or a show | Whether furniture, sound, catering and cleaning are included |
| Nightclub | Hundreds; Chaos holds up to 600 | High; Chaos hire 400 EUR an hour | A large company dancing to a DJ or a live act | Minimum hours, security, cloakroom and technical setup |
| Country house (sodyba) | KIBIN BOX AND RESORT packages for up to 20, 30 or 50 people | Bigger budget for transport and overnight stay; packages with accommodation from 515 EUR for up to 20 people | Activities, sauna and an overnight stay | Transport both ways, number of beds, breakfast |
| Activity venue or workshop | Cooking class up to 20, craft workshop up to 30, tasting 10 to 50 people | Activities often have a fixed price for the whole event | An active evening for teams that do not want to sit at a table all night | How many people at once, how long it lasts, whether you can stay on afterwards |
Most venue pages and offers are in Lithuanian. Words that help when searching: “salės nuoma” (room hire), “įmonių vakarėliai” (company parties) and “sodyba” (country house). For named group venues with capacities (bar rooms, karaoke, bowling, a cooking studio), see our birthday guide: they work for a team night too.
How much does a company Christmas party cost in Lithuania?
There is no published 2026 per-person price to compare. On 20 October the Vilnius Grand Resort corporate events page, the Medžiotojų restoranas listing and the other venue and listing pages we checked showed none. Pramogų kompasas says the cost depends on the number of guests, the programme and the technical setup. Below is what has been published, with the year and what each figure covers.
| What | Price | What it covers | Date |
|---|---|---|---|
| 100-guest company party (LRT) | About 25,000 EUR (about 250 EUR a head) | Special welcome for guests, programme, extra entertainment, food, decor | 4 December 2021 |
| 35-guest company party (LRT) | About 5,000 EUR (about 140 EUR a head) | Not itemized | 4 December 2021 |
| Host and DJ team (LRT) | From 3,000 EUR | A host and a DJ for the evening | 4 December 2021 |
| KAM staff community event, about 200 people (15min) | 47,559 EUR (about 238 EUR a head) | Catering 12,000 EUR, venue 5,100 EUR, Donatas Montvydas 7,865 EUR, stage, technical setup, organization; staff also paid 15 EUR each | Event 10 September 2026, article 24 September 2026 |
| KIBIN BOX AND RESORT country house packages | 20 to 30 EUR a head on average; up to 20 people 515 to 1,315 EUR, up to 50 people 1,240 to 3,250 EUR | Kibinai pastries and an overnight stay in a country house (the page gives no location); the dearest packages add a festive dinner and breakfast | Page undated, viewed 20 October 2026 |
| Kavinė Grasalė, Vilnius | 40 EUR an hour | Room hire for up to 90 guests; advertises company and private Christmas parties | Paslaugos.lt, October 2026 |
| 7 Fridays (four locations) | 100 EUR an hour | Bar spaces for company events, 70 to 180 guests | Paslaugos.lt, October 2026 |
| Chaos nightclub | 400 EUR an hour | Club hire for up to 600 people | Paslaugos.lt, October 2026 |
| Medžiotojų restoranas, Jeruzalės g. 16 | By agreement | Three rooms for groups of 10 to 20 and 50 to 100 | Sventes.lt, 12 December 2023 |
What the figures show: the programme, not just the food, drives the total. In the KAM budget catering came to 12,000 EUR, and three acts (Donatas Montvydas, the band Baltos varnos and an illusionist) cost almost as much, about 11,500 EUR. The stage, sound, lighting and organization were paid on top. A dinner in a restaurant room with a host, or the office with catering and a quiz, is a very different budget, so decide first whether you need a stage and famous names.
How far ahead should you plan? A timeline from 8 weeks to the day
Worked example for a party on Friday 18 December. If you are reading this at the end of October, do the first two steps straight away.
- 8 weeks before (23 October): set the budget, format and rough headcount. A short anonymous survey tells you what the team actually wants. Ask two or three venues for offers, with their deposit and cancellation terms.
- 6 weeks before (6 November): book the venue and the host or DJ, and sign the contract. Send the invitation with RSVP the same week: the date is fixed, and you learn the numbers sooner.
- 4 weeks before (20 November): announce the programme, theme and dress code, agree the menu, and book transport if the party is out of town.
- 2 weeks before (4 December): reply deadline. Remind people in the team chat, close registration after the deadline and send the venue the dietary list.
- 1 week before (11 December): confirm the final headcount under the contract terms, the seating, the running order and who is responsible for what. Plan how guests get home.
- On the day: arrive early and check the entrance, the sound and the guest list. Afterwards, thank everyone and invite them to add photos to a shared album.
15 Christmas party ideas for work
The themes and activities come from 2026 round-ups by Lithuanian event organizers (Fotoveidrodelis.lt, Pramogų kompasas, Atvira Klaipėda); where a source gives a suitable group size, it is included.
- The Great Gatsby: 1920s glamour with the dress code in the invitation. It has recurred for several years and appears in both 2026 round-ups.
- An 80s or 90s party: the head of Agency UP expects the 1980s to be popular in 2026; Fotoveidrodelis.lt suggests 90s retro.
- Winter elegance: white and silver, a simple dress code that is easy to put together from your own wardrobe.
- Film awards night with a red carpet: the team votes on the year’s categories in advance, and a host hands out the prizes.
- Mexico, the Wild West or the circus: costume themes that have come back for several years. A costume theme takes the most preparation, so announce it at least a month ahead.
- A murder-mystery style role-play: during the evening guests hunt for whoever stole the evening’s main prize. In October event host Remigijus Žiogas told Atvira Klaipėda that film-plot role-play and staged scenes are on trend now.
- Christmas quiz: suits groups of 20 or more, enough for at least four teams. A smaller team can join a public quiz night in a bar.
- Cooking class: works best for teams of up to 20.
- Wine, cheese or non-alcoholic drinks tasting: for groups of 10 to 50.
- Cocktail workshop: include alcohol-free cocktails so everyone can take part.
- Candle-making or Advent wreath workshop: up to 30 people, and everyone takes their work home.
- Karaoke: works for a small office and for a party of more than 100 people.
- Game stations: Just Dance contests, virtual reality, a basketball arcade machine, giant table football. Good when not everyone wants to dance.
- Secret Santa and short games: a gift up to an agreed amount for a colleague drawn at random, guessing childhood photos or Christmas songs, gift-wrapping races. Whoever wants to play plays; the rest watch with no pressure.
- A group outing in town: the Christmas Town on Cathedral Square runs from 28 November to 27 December with free entry, 12:00 to 22:00 on Fridays and Saturdays. From mid-November the Lumina light park in Kairėnai opens Thursday to Sunday, 16:30 to 22:00, and its season runs to 22 February (16.90 EUR). The Christmas show “2 METRAI” is on 17 December at 19:00 at the Compensa concert hall (tickets from 39 EUR before fees as of 20 October).
If families are invited too, a daytime party with Santa and a children’s entertainer lets in people who cannot come in the evening. More December concerts and shows, with dates and prices, are in our Christmas concerts guide.
What goes into a Christmas party budget? A checklist
- Venue: hire fee or minimum spend, deposit, cancellation deadline and fee, closing time.
- Food and drink: price per head, vegetarian and allergen-free dishes, non-alcoholic drinks, service.
- Programme: host, DJ or performers. In 2021 a host and DJ team cost from 3,000 EUR; activities often have a fixed price for the whole event, so they get cheaper per head as the group grows.
- Technical setup: sound, lighting, microphone, projector, stage. Ask what the venue already has.
- Decorations and a photo corner.
- Gifts: the Secret Santa amount or company gifts for staff. Ask your accountant how they are taxed.
- Transport and accommodation if the party is out of town, and taxis home afterwards.
- A contingency line: the KAM budget set aside 4,500 EUR for unforeseen costs.
- A staff contribution, if there is one (KAM staff paid 15 EUR each): say so in the invitation.
Dietary needs, accessibility and colleagues who do not drink
- Ask about dietary needs and allergies in the RSVP itself, as a required question, not in a chat thread. Send the list to the venue together with the final headcount.
- Ask the venue to mark allergens on the menu and to have a vegetarian and a vegan dish.
- Offer as many non-alcoholic drinks as alcoholic ones, of the same quality: alcohol-free cocktails, wine or beer. Do not build the programme around drinking; a toast works just as well with an alcohol-free glass.
- Make attendance and games voluntary: Fotoveidrodelis.lt stresses that for introverts and newcomers the most important principle is that nothing is compulsory.
- Accessibility: ask the venue about step-free entry, a lift, an accessible toilet, enough chairs and a quieter area. Say in the invitation what has been checked, and add a question asking what guests need to take part comfortably.
- Language: for an international team, write the invitation in English and Lithuanian, and say which language the programme will be in.
- Getting home: in mid-December the sun sets in Vilnius at 15:51, so the drive to a sodyba or an out-of-town venue happens in the dark. Organize transport and plan the return in advance.
How do you invite staff and track RSVPs?
The venue needs an exact number, and replies in a team chat get lost. The simplest setup is one invitation page with RSVP and a clear reply deadline. On Bonder that is free for the host and for guests: guests reply on the event page, with no app to install.
What a Bonder invitation gives you
- Link-only invitationThe default is Private: only people with the link can open it, and it is not shown in Bonder’s listings. If the link spreads too far, Reset link replaces it, and guests who already replied keep access.
- RSVP and plus-one limitGuests answer Going, Maybe or Can’t Go. Limit +1s counts the person replying: 1 means the employee only, 2 means the employee and a partner.
- Capacity and waitlistSet Max spots to the number in your venue contract. With Waitlist on, when someone drops out, waiting guests move onto the guest list automatically, in queue order.
- Questions for guestsCollect Info lets you ask up to 10 questions, for example about dietary needs or allergies, and make any of them required.
- Approval and a hidden guest listWith Require approval you confirm each reply yourself. Hide guest list and Hide guest count keep who and how many are coming private.
- Co-hostsAdd up to 10 co-hosts, such as a colleague from HR. Once they sign in with the email you entered, they can edit the event and see the guest list.
- A list for the venueOn the guest management page, Download CSV exports the list with every answer to your questions, so the dietary needs go to the restaurant in one file.
- Calendar and albumGuests can add the event to Google, Apple or Outlook calendars, and after the party they can add photos to a shared album if you allow it.
Do not count on automatic email reminders: send the reply-deadline reminder yourself in the team chat or by email. After the deadline, turn on Close registration: no new replies are accepted, while guests who already answered can still change or withdraw. If the party is free for staff (the Cost per person field left empty), every guest who answers Going gets a QR ticket, and you can check people in at the door. Put the dress code in the Dress code field.
